Harbor Candy Shop thrives in the tradition of local American or European candy shops, producing fresh chocolates daily for customers to walk in and treat themselves to a savory respite.  Even though we now have a national and international customer base, our approach to handmade confections remains the same - to create rich, smooth, intense confections.

Since the advent of photography, the adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" is an accepted truth.  Each year as we prepare our annual catalogue and update our website, we brainstorm for "new" words to describe our confections, and each year, admittedly, we get a bit stumped.  What other words can we use to say fresh, or delicious or luxurious?  What haven't we used in the past?  Because our excellence rests in making handmade, fresh and delicious chocolates and not word-smithing, we sincerely hope the beautiful photography throughout this site will inspire "the thousand words" in your imagination.  Now if we can just figure ourt how to make the photos work as flavor strips....

 

Our ingredients are carefully selected, from superior quality chocolate, to nuts meeting the best standard for each variety, to pure vanillas, butters and dairy cream, to fresh eggs from hens that have some open air and freedom.  We take those high quality ingredients and add our pride and professional commitment.
